SMSTS Refresher 2 Days

The 2 day CITB SMSTS Refresher Training course is designed for candidates who have already passed the SMSTS course. Candidates will be required to show their original 5 day certificate and if known provide details of where and when they took the course. Delegates MUST attend both days in order to obtain their certification. By attending the SMSTS refresher course delegates will be updated on developments in construction legislation and use of appropriate best practice. The course will also enhance existing managerial skills necessary to achieve compliance with any new legal duties and responsibilities placed on them and their workforce.

The refresher course is for delegates who have previously passed the two day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide proof of successful attendance. It aims to bring health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by the changes to procedures built upon the material in the original course. The refresher course aims to: Raise awareness of current trends within the Health and Safety Executive direction of enforcement. Improve awareness of recent development in construction, legislation and health and safety, welfare and environmental issues. Identify measures that will assist the practical implementation of responsibilities established by new legislation and working practices.
